Rebecca Nishimura began studying belly dance in her late teens with instructors,
Ninah Sahar and Aziza Sa'id. She simultaneously trained in Spanish flamenco with
instructors, Ester Moreno, Juanita Franco and Sara Olivar. Seeking to broaden
her knowledge, Rebecca also earned a BA in dance from the University of California,
San Diego with an emphasis in modern dance. She has performed with dance
companies; Blue Lotus, Ole Flamenco and Flamenco Olivar.
Rebecca currently performs both belly dance and flamenco in San Diego and is
a member of the Arabina Dance Company.
